Preservation
NUD105L

Dave Clements' Oxford ultra low height DP Series 2 VR NUD105L suffered a gearbox failure in October, so the winter month weekends have been spent removing the engine and gearbox, sending the gearbox away for overhaul and then putting everything back together again.
Everything was at last finished on Sunday 1st April 2012 so 105 went on a successful road test on Monday evening. The road test picture (below, copyright of Dave Clements) is in the Oxfordshire village of Ambrosden. The photo above shows the gearbox (blue) prior to it being mated up with the flywheel.
More of his photos are on his Flick page (click here) showing the engine/gearbox removal and replacement , together with restoration photos of his other VR, flat front OFC902H.

Chepstow Classic Buses
BJG672V
This bus, with its Woolacombe Bay days sadly far behind it now, has been operating at/to fruit farms in Kent this year. Photographed below on 31st March 2012 at Goodnestone.
Reported recently was the sighting of blue painted JWV269W on 26th April 2012 in Woolacombe.
Red liveried STW33W is believed to be being exported, if it hasn't been already. After a number of years stored at Winkleigh this bus later worked at the larger events, such as Glastonbury.

Rail River Link
LFJ862W
This VR was in use here for a short period of time but has possibly not operated in service on the 100 (Totnes-Paignton) since last year.
It was seen at their Totnes depot on Tuesday 1st May 2012. However by Wednesday 2nd it had moved to Exwick, a suburb of Exeter, in Devon. Reports on the 'uk-bus-southwest' Yahoo email group suggest this is to become a non PSV conversion.
